Study/Guest Room
|
|
This client wanted to reorganize her study before
starting graduate school. She wanted the room to be a colorful,
comfortable personal retreat where she could focus on working and
studying. The space also needed to function as a guest room. |

This beautiful study had great "bones" but was not
functioning as the comfortable personal retreat that our client wanted. |
We transformed this space by clearly defining zones for
guests, work, and relaxation. The new paint color our client chose
adds new life and character to the
space. We moved the futon footrest under the window where it can
function as a window seat, and it can be
moved over to make a bed when needed. |

We moved the foot rest to the other side of the room
to open up floor space. We hung some art above the futon and placed
a lamp on the credenza file to create
a comfortable and functional guest zone. |

This large, beautiful desk took up a lot of space in
the middle of the room. |
We moved the desk so that the person sitting at it
can enjoy the gorgeous view out both windows, and can also see the
television and the door. |

This client had made a good start at organizing her
electronics, cords, chargers, and batteries into clear plastic bins. |
We sorted by category, got rid of some duplicate or
un-needed items, labeled the bins, and put everything away. |

|
This client had three huge bins full of unsorted
photographs, frames, and memorabilia. |
We took everything out of the bins and helped our
client sort through the photos and categorize them by year. All the
photos ended up fitting into these boxes, and there were even a couple
empty boxes for growing room. |
|

Here is one of the things this client said when we were
finished: |
|
"I'm very pleased, it's perfect! Now I feel more
ready for grad school. You did the job I wanted you to do, and then
some!" |
