This client wanted to be able to easily access and
use the different zones in her garage - tool storage, dog supply storage,
seasonal items, and home and garden supplies. We helped her
eliminate un-needed or outdated items, added some storage tools, and
created a well lighted and easy to use tool storage area. |

In this corner of the garage, yard tools, seasonal items, empty boxes, and things
to give away were piled in front of each other. |
We thinned out the empty boxes,
created a give away tub, stored seasonal items in easy reach, and removed
clutter so that the yard tools are
accessible. |

There were so many things stored
in front of the tool bench that we couldn't even reach the light switch!
|
We cleared out the floor space
and reorganized the tool bench. Now the light switch is accessible,
and with more light, this space looks great and is easy to use. |

|
Pegboard is a wonderful organizing tool, but it can
lend itself to more clutter without a careful plan. |
We decided which items were most
effectively stored on pegboard and made space specifically for those
things. Now this space is functional and clutter free. |
|

|
This utility cupboard was full
of home maintenance and gardening supplies, many of which were outdated. |
We emptied the cupboard, disposed of any outdated or
useless items, grouped like things together, and put everything away in
categories. There's even empty space left! |
|

|
This area of the garage stored
dog leashes and other dog things, recyclables, backpacks and other outdoor
things, and tall yard tools. |
We removed an old rack and installed three new ones,
making more space for frequently used items to be stored in easy reach,
and there's more room for tall brooms and rakes to be stored hanging up. |
|

finished: |
